Alaea is traditional Hawaiian table salt used to season and preserve food. This red salt is all naturally processed and rich in iron-oxide and minerals found in the South Pacific Ocean.
Red Hawaiian Alaea Sea Salt - This incredibly unique salt comes from sea salt that is harvested from the Pacific Ocean using solar evaporation. Once the sea salt is collected it is infused in to "alaea", which is volcanic clay from the islands of Hawaii. This is how this salt obtains its vibrant red color.
Great for Cooking - These unique Hawaiian salts are great for cooking and add a delightful taste to several dishes. Some suggested uses would be on fish, poultry, meats and chocolate!
